Blog entry to readings

I have seen all the twilight movies that have come out, Bella’s character can be pretty irritating but she was madly in love with Edward. The rebellious actions of her character in the twilight movies showed how much she suffered for the love of her life, and for those of you who have been in love you might be able to relate to some of her actions and feelings. She was hopeless and in misery because all she wanted was to be happy with Edward and become like him. As for Katniss in “The hunger Games”, her character was portrayed to be really tough, even tougher that most male characters in the movie, which is interesting because usually it is the male’s masculinity role to be the tough and brave one who saves the day. Going back to twilight, Bella also becomes a tough and brave female character once she is converted into a vampire. At that point, she is no longer the weak annoying character that others may see, well at least not as annoying as she used to be with  her whining and moping. Becoming a vampire gave her what she most desired which lead to being with Edward forever. Katniss struggled and sacrificed a lot to become the saver of the weak. She fought for her life as well as for her family’s life.   Unlike Bella, Katniss was strong from the very begging but one thing both characters have income is that they bother had to suffer to keep their strength going. As for the Disney movies, I believe they are meant for children, for their childhood, and also to help their imagination expand. They are meant to help the kids believe in dreams and in positive outcomes throughout life. In my opinion I do not think it is right that people make other negative meanings to these Disney movies, it’s scary for children to come across that. As a child I did not know anything about these hidden things in the scenes of the Disney movies I watched until my teenage years. Therefore as a Disney lover it creeped the crap out of me to even think the stories would be true.
