Rich Become Richer, While American Dream Dies

America used to be such an amazing place for of opportunities and prosperity but now it lay in shambles. The rich are now the ones ruling everything from the government to our economy. As Cal Thomas puts it the American dream for the past 200 years has always been about finding prosperity and living a happy life built on foundational principles. He believes that though America is in deep trouble that the American dream is not completely unattainable now. All you need to do is keep at you’re education get at least a small degree and stay away from harmful things that will steer you on the wrong path. He does not talk about you needing money to achieve the American dream, as we believe you do. No he talks about just living a good and honest life and showing your friends and family what a good person you are. Cal Thomas made a great point saying “People who believe a politician of whatever party or persuasion can make their life better than individual initiative are doing more than dreaming;” he is saying that believing in the government to make you’re life better will do no good. Thomas is showing us that he believes in the people taking charge and us as Americans making a good life for ourselves by living life to the best and being a good citizen and a good person and remembering the right and wrong that our parents raised us with. Robert Riech takes a bit of a different stand point on his believes on how the American system is falling, he is stating that is the government giving jobs to foreign workers that is making the middle class and “white collar” workers begin to diminish and begin to be paid and respected less. Day by day more and more jobs are taken over seas to global cooperation’s and the “white collar” workers are thus disappearing from America.
